BAFF Electrical (operating as BAFF Salish Sea, 127 Fulford-Ganges Road, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia V8K 2T9) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, or that is gathered automatically when you browse the site.
- When you email us at baffelectrical@gmail.com, we receive your name, email address, anything else you include in the message and any attachments you send. If you provide a phone number or a property address, we receive those too.
- When you browse the site, our analytics provider records standard technical information such as your IP address (often truncated), device type, browser, operating system, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site and how long you stay.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry, provide a quote or book work.
- To follow up about a job we have discussed or completed.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only to the extent they need it to do their job:
- Google (Google Analytics and Gmail). Site usage data is processed by Google. Email you send to baffelectrical@gmail.com is hosted by Google.
- Our website host and form provider. They store the technical logs and any messages submitted through the site.
We may also disclose information if we are required to do so by law, by a court order or to protect our legal rights.
Where your information is stored
Some of our providers, including Google, store data on servers outside Canada, mainly in the United States. While the information is there it may be accessible to foreign authorities under the laws of that country. By using the site or emailing us, you understand that your information may be transferred and stored outside Canada.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to answer your enquiry, complete the work, meet our tax and warranty obligations, or as required by law. After that we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it if anything is wrong or out of date.
- Delete it, subject to our legal and contractual obligations.
- Withdraw your consent to further use, again subject to our obligations.
Send any request to baffelectrical@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Security
We use reasonable physical, technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system on the open internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted here is the one in force, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

It is not a quote and it is not a substitute for an on-site assessment by a qualified electrician. Every property is different. Final scope, materials, code requirements and pricing for any electrical work will be set out in a written estimate or work order.

When you email baffelectrical@gmail.com we will do our best to respond promptly, but no relationship is formed between us until we have agreed on the work in writing. Please do not send confidential information you would not want sitting in an email inbox.

All text, logos, photographs, layouts and other content on this site are owned by BAFF Electrical or used with permission. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish or use any of the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
